Lolli’s Lesson: The Great Milk/Baby Exchange

Are you a new mom planning to go back to work? I have the BEST news for you! Forget the freezer stash–you only need enough milk for your baby to get through the first day of being away from you.

Not every mom is able to pump a freezer stash of breastmilk for their baby. And it’s ok! Going back to work you only need enough pumped milk for your baby’s feedings for that day.

This little tip relieves so much anxiety for pumping moms as they prepare to go back to work. Sure, you may have a freezer stash of breastmilk–but you do not need to! The best thing? When you pick up your baby from their daycare provider, simply exchange your expressed/pumped breastmilk for your baby. That fresh milk can be put in the fridge in preparation for your baby’s bottle feedings the next day. No worrying about thawing prep. It’s the Great Milk/Baby Exchange and it makes life so much easier as you transition back to work with your new baby!

Supporting families as parents return to work is one of my favorite challenges! Let me help ease the anxiety of this transition. Scan QR to see if your visit may be covered. And if not? I will provide you with what is called a superbill that you submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

Lactation services can be utilized to figure out how to return to work successfully as well as breastfeeding!

Returning to work is one of the greatest obstacles for new families but it does not have to be! Take advantage of this opportunity to use lactation services to support you. I am committed to helping ease anxiety along this part of the breastfeeding journey!
