God’s Sweet Gift to Me
Those of you who are moms or dads of grown children, do you remember what it felt like to hold your babies? If you had NO pictures, do you remember what your babies looked like?
Thankfully, we live in an era where pictures are a thing! However, I am SO envious of you all who are having babies and families with access to a camera at your fingertips or online social media which gives you access to almost any picture you’d like. I am of the age where we had to wait for our film to be developed and mailed back to you—and even then, you really didn’t have any idea of what pictures you would actually receive. Crazy!!
Well, here is where God’s sweet gift to me comes in. My youngest brother and his wife had a baby girl, Noah, a little over a year ago. When Noah was about 4-6 months old, she really began to favor one of my daughters. Do you see the resemblance?
Sorry about the quality—screenshot and a pic of a pic. But regardless, the similarities are unbelievable to me. Not only do they resemble each other, but Noah feels exactly like Natalie did when you hold her. How many times are you able to hold a baby that feels and looks like your own baby now almost 25 years later? Thank you, God for this amazing gift!! [Noah no longer really enjoys being held as she wants to run, jump, and climb all over the place—-another trait of her big cousin, Natalie, at that age].
{I’ve heard grandparents say this exact same thing—so that is something to look forward to!}
